PAX is here! We’ve planned a three-day weekend packed full of Guild Wars 2 goodness. If you’re attending the Penny Arcade Expo in sunny Seattle, WA this weekend, you will definitely want to read this blog post, which will answer your GW2 PAX FAQs!
Q: Where can I play Guild Wars 2?
You’ll find Guild Wars 2 all weekend long at the ArenaNet booth (#442), where we’ll be showing off our latest demo build. We’ll also have 10 stations running Guild Wars 2 at the Logitech booth (#1340). This weekend you can play as a mysterious sylvari, an ingenious asura, or as a charr in the service of the Iron, Ash, or Blood Legion. Play any of our seven revealed professions and control the way your character looks with our new character appearance customization feature.
Since we want you to get the most out of your Guild Wars 2 experience, each PvE demo session is 40 minutes long, which means if you want to play, get in line early!
Q: What about demo presentations?
Yes, we’ll be doing demo presentations at booth 442 regularly throughout the weekend.
Q: Are you featuring PvP at PAX?
Yes! We’ve scheduled a Guild Wars 2 PAX PvP Tournament at the Alienware booth (#3203). Teams of fans will compete all weekend for a chance to face off against ArenaNet devs and to win prizes from Razer and NVIDIA. Sign up for the tournament at the Alienware booth.
Q: What about swag?
Oh, we’ve got swag alright. Our street team will be roaming around PAX looking for attendees who are wearing Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 gear. We’re giving away Guild Wars 2 T-shirt tokens that fans can redeem for a custom printed tee at the Seattle Company in the Convention Center Lobby (pictured below).
As an added incentive to early birds, each day we’re giving out Guild Wars 2 T-shirt tokens to the first 300 fans at the booth 442 information counter. Once again, it pays to be early!
Q: Are you hosting any panels?
Room 2B on the 2nd floor of the Convention Center is dedicated exclusively to NCsoft Panels all weekend.
Don’t miss our big panel, Guild Wars 2: Designing Dynamic Systems and Content, on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM right next door from the Convention Center at the Sheraton Hotel in the Pegasus Theater. We’re giving out cool Rytlock Brimstone T-shirts to the first 500 fans in line. We’re planning a surprise for 10 random fans at the panel – a brand new charr plushy and a custom-printed GW2 “commando” staff jersey.
